San Antonio has officially taken the top spot for slow-and-steady real estate. According to the latest RE/MAX National Housing Report for July 2025, homes here are spending an average of 83 days on the market before selling — the highest in the country. That's up from 70 days from a year ago and nearly double the national average of 44 days.

According to the international real estate franchise, San Antonio is also seeing one of the largest supplies of homes for sale nationwide. The 5.6 months of inventory reported by RE/MAX is slightly different from the San Antonio Board of Realtors' (SABOR) latest estimation of 6.2 months , but still reflects a balanced market.
