What do Spud Bars and a nuclear submarine have in common? Idaho, of course.

The Gem State is the home to the iconic chocolate and marshmallow treat and is also the namesake of the U.S.S. Idaho submarine. Recently, the first meal aboard the vessel included Spud Bars.

This month, Paul and Megan Sturdivant, the new owners of Idaho Candy Company, sent 120 Idaho Spud Bars to Groton, Connecticut, where the submarine is docked, so that the treat would be part of the first meal onboard.
