A man was found dead with head trauma early Monday inside a Brooklyn building that provides supportive housing for the formerly homeless and cops are investigating the case as a homicide .
The victim, an adult who cops are still working to identify, was found dead inside the building on Sands St. near Jay St. in Downtown Brooklyn about 5:50 a.m., cops said.
The building, a former hotel for Jehovah’s Witnesses, was converted into supportive housing in 2022.
No arrests have been made. The city Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine exactly how the man died. Originally Published: August 25, 2025 at 1:14 PM EDT
