RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 34-year-old woman is dead after she was found shot multiple times inside a Richmond home on Sunday.

Just after 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 24, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to a residence in the 500 block of Hunt Avenue for a report of a person shot.

When they arrived, officers found 34-year-old Johnnita Russell of Richmond, who had been shot multiple times. She died at the scene.

No further details are available as of the time of reporting. The investigation into this shooting continues.
