PEMBROKE, N.Y. — Investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and New York State Police were back on the Thruway Monday, continuing their investigation into Friday’s tragic tour bus crash that killed five people and injured dozens more .

The crash happened on the 90 in Pembroke when a bus carrying 54 people rolled over. State Trooper James O’Callaghan, spokesperson for New York State Police, joined 2 On Your Side in studio Monday morning to provide an update on the investigation.

“When we look at the totality of this collision, we go through a lot of factors,” O’Callaghan said. “Our collision reconstruction unit, our commercial vehicle unit, and our Bureau of Criminal Investigation are all working on this, along with the NTSB.”
