DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Davidson County woman is facing a child abuse charge after deputies said her four-year-old daughter tested positive for THC.

On August 13, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home after a four-year-old girl was found unresponsive. Emergency crews said the child had vomited in her sleep and wasn’t waking up when they arrived. She was taken to Lexington Medical Center.

Detectives searched the home and found an open package of THC-P gummies, with one gummy sitting outside the bag. The sheriff’s office said they also reported finding THC paraphernalia throughout the house, within reach of children.
