ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two men were arrested on Wednesday following a narcotics investigation in Canandaigua and surrounding areas, police said.
21-year-old Amarion McMahon of Geneva, and 27-year-old Matthew Stanley of Red Creek, were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, the City of Canandaigua Police Department reported.
Police allege that during their arrests Wednesday, McMahon and Stanley were found with a large quantity of crack cocaine and a defaced, loaded 9mm handgun.
Both men were arraigned and were held without bail. McMahon, who is currently on parole, and Stanley are both considered predicate felons, police said. Additional felony charges are pending.
