HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A father reached out to ABC13, saying he wants to explain why he shot a teenager he says was threatening both his and his son's lives.
Houston police said they are still trying to sort out exactly what happened, but the dramatic shootout unfolded Friday on Westview near Silber in Spring Branch.
Houston police are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
They say it's too early to say if charges could be coming.
"I didn't engage anyone until I was being shot at by an automatic weapon," a father who called ABC13 Monday morning said.
