The Barrington Day of Caring event will be paused for 2025.

Barrington officials said the hiatus will provide the Day of Caring Planning Team an opportunity to review the program’s operation and consider adjustments to enhance it for the future.

The Day of Caring has offered support to residents by organizing volunteers to assist with outdoor maintenance and small household projects.

Officials said the decision to take a one-year break was made to ensure the program remains sustainable and effective in the future.
