Roswell Police are investigating a Monday morning shooting in North Roswell that left one man dead.

According to a press release from the Roswell Police Department (RPD), officers were dispatched at around 6:50 a.m. following reports of multiple gunshots. Darrin Estephen Johnson, 31, was identified as the victim. Johnson was shot at least once, before he knocked on the door of a 2300 block of North Sherman Avenue residence. People at the home drove him to an area hospital, where he died a short time later.

After the shooting, the suspect or suspects fled in a vehicle that was later found by police. As of Monday, no names of any suspects in the case had been released. The press release stated that the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information pertaining to the case is encoura
