The Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity announced the application period for the Economic Assistance Grant this year is from Sept. 1-15.

According to the press release, the Utah Legislature allocated $4.5 million to economic officials to administer the grant assistance.

“This grant is for one-time, project-based awards up to $200,000 and aims to assist Utah businesses in promoting and supporting economic opportunities in the state that provide services related to industry, education, community development, or infrastructure,” the media announcement said. “For this grant, a business is defined as a for-profit or nonprofit entity.”
