LONGWOOD, the Bronx (WABC) -- A pedestrian was found fatally struck by a car in the Longwood section of the Bronx early Tuesday.
Police say a 32-year-old woman was found on Bruckner Boulevard and Leggett Avenue around 12:10 a.m.
The victim was later identified as Dilmania Lopez de Rodriguez.
Police believe a driver was traveling northbound on Bruckner Boulevard in the right lane of the outer roadway when Lopez de Rodriguez was attempting to cross the street in the crosswalk.
Surveillance video appears to show a scooter on the truck's right side as they wait for the light to change. The truck then makes its turn, fatally striking the victim.
"Cars come around too fast. They don't really wait for people crossing, so a lot of times you've got to really rush to get across the street," sa
