A violent altercation with police was caught on video after a man in the Bronx attempted to intervene during the arrest of his daughter.
Cellphone video shows 50-year-old Sammy Santiago getting wrestled to the ground by four officers in Hunts Point Saturday night.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 311 call for excessive noise coming from a speaker and attempted to issue a summons. That's when 35-year-old Shatiqua Hill allegedly interfered and refused to stop.
As officers took Hill into custody, police say Santiago got involved.
His sister, Ebony Morris, said she watched in horror.
"He could've died. They have their knees on his back, on his stomach. He wasn't able to breathe. And he's screaming, he's trying to tell them to stop, like help. And you can hear it in the video
