The Philadelphia Fringe Festival, hosted by FringeArts, is returning this September with more than 1,000 performances by national, international and Philadelphia-based artists. This year, the festival will be held Sept. 4-28, and performances will take place across the city.

For 28 years, the annual Philadelphia Fringe Festival has upheld the traditions of Edinburgh’s 1947 festival of the same name by hosting performances and featuring artwork of all types, welcoming experimentation and embracing the unconventional.

Philadelphia Fringe Festival operates under an “Open Access BYO Venue model,” wherein any artist can participate, as long as they have a show and a performance space.
