72-year-old dies after being pulled from the lake at Edgewater Beach

A man died while out on the water at Edgewater Beach.

The Director of Communications for the Cleveland Metroparks said that around 5:30 p.m. Monday, a 72-year-old man was pulled from Lake Erie after surfers found him unresponsive.

The man was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

His identity has not been released.
