South Dakota author Emily Grenz seeks to answer a profound question in her debut book: "Will the Baby Stay Asleep?"
Grenz brought this query to a special storytime at the Madison Public Library on Aug. 18, where Grenz performed a reading of the story along with helping attending children in a crafting activity. The book explores the many dangers in holding a sleeping baby, with Grenz saying she was inspired to write it by her own experience as a mother of two, where laying them down quietly can feel like the hijinks of Indiana Jones. ×
