MADISON, Wis. — The trails should be buzzing with activity this Labor Day weekend as ATV and UTV riders get out for the unofficial "last hurrah" of summer.

But operators should know, they'll have some company keeping a sharp eye out on their driving habits and behavior.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is giving riders a heads-up that conservation officers and their partners from county sheriff's departments are going to be out in numbers over the long holiday weekend, monitoring for risky operating behaviors, speeding, OWI and helmet usage.
