Federal prosecutors say a woman threatened the life of an ICE officer’s child Sunday and said she would “pop” officers “right in their f---ing face” as the officers tried to make arrests on Chicago’s West Side.
Now Joshalin Rivera is charged with resisting a federal officer. Daishalie Urdiales is charged in the same incident. Both appeared in federal court Monday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Young Kim, who denied a request from prosecutors to hold them in custody.
Defense attorneys for both women declined to comment Tuesday.
A six-page criminal complaint filed Monday alleges the incident occurred while ICE and other law enforcement, including U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, were making arrests at 11 a.m. in the 5500 block of West Jackson Boulevard on Sunday.
