A 53-year old man from Elkton has died from injuries suffered in a crash on Saturday night, August 23, 2025, near Newark.

Delaware State Police said Jackie Spicer was riding a motorcycle westbound on Route 4 around 8 p.m., when a vehicle attempted to turn left in front of him onto North Kingston Road.

Spicer's motorcycle hit the rear passenger side of the car and he was ejected.

He was treated by New Castle County paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

He died of his injuries on Monday, August 25th.

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit from Troop 2 has taken over the investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Corporal K. Oakes at 302-365-8483.
