Generationally, African American culture has held onto the mantra of going above and beyond in work, sometimes even at the expense of their own health. In the lives of business owners and independent entrepreneurs, this can sometimes show us as chronic stress. Chronic stress is a health concern that has a higher likelihood to impact African Americans, and especially those under more rigorous life circumstances, such as being a business owner.
