OROVILLE, Calif. — An Oroville couple appeared in Butte County Superior Court on Monday after the Butte County District Attorney’s Office filed charges related to the fentanyl death of their two-year-old son.
Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey says 29-year-old Chelsea Whitfield and 28-year-old Anthony Solansky are facing charges of felony child endangerment with a special allegation that the endangerment led to their child's death.
According to the Butte County District Attorney's Office, the incident occurred on March 9, when the child was taken to Oroville Hospital after being found unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead due to acute fentanyl intoxication.
