ABC ‘s Shifting Gears has tapped comedian Lilly Singh ( A Little Late, The Muppets Mayhem ) for a Season 2 guest role opposite Kat Dennings .

TVLine can exclusively confirm that Singh will play Jen, Riley’s new friend. The two moms click instantly, but their budding relationship is derailed by “unexpected mama drama,” per the official character breakdown.

An airdate for Singh’s debut has not yet been set.
