RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Police Department is looking for the driver of a car they say fled the scene of a fatal crash Tuesday morning.

At around 4:39 a.m. on Aug. 26, RPD, the Reno Fire Department, and REMSA were called to the 1300 block of N. Wells Avenue for reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian crash.

The bicyclist was declared dead at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

RPD says there may be one or more witnesses to the crash that did not remain on scene.

They also say the striking vehicle fled after the crash. They describe that car as a light-colored 2011-2014 Chrysler 200, likely with front end damage.
