On Sept. 4, 2016, Mother Teresa was declared a saint by Pope Francis during a canonization Mass at the Vatican. The devout nun, born on Aug. 26, 1910, and dubbed the 'saint of the gutters' during her charitable life, died on Sept. 5, 1997. She was 87.
