Police have seized drugs and a weapon, after an arrest in Stirling.

On Monday, shortly before 2pm, Central Hastings OPP officers responded to a call for suspicious behaviour in Stirling.

Officers found a man who had an arrest warrant from elsewhere in the province.

The man was arrested, and a search found a handgun, cocaine, and that the man was wearing a bulletproof vest.

As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed by OPP officers at an apartment on West Front Street in Stirling.

Christopher Foster, a 42 year old from Foxboro, has been charged with:

Carrying a concealed weapon

Careless storage of a firearm

Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon

Possession of a Schedule 1 substance
