The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources on Tuesday announced plans to begin a phased approach to allowing Sunday hunting in state parks and forests across the Commonwealth.
The plans come weeks after Governor Josh Shapiro signed legislation ending the ban on Sunday hunting in Pennsylvania, DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn said in a press release.
The phased approach will balance Pennsylvania's hunting traditions with the recreational needs and safety of non-hunters who visit public lands, Dunn said.
For the 2025-26 season, Sunday hunting in state parks will be limited to three weeks -- November 16, November 23, and November 30, Dunn said.
