TUESDAY: Areas of low clouds will once again start the day with clearing skies inland and slightly cooler temps, most notably in the North Bay valleys as stronger south/southwesterly winds develop into the afternoon. While this means cooler temps along the Pickett Fire zone, increasing wind could give the fire a chance to get moving again and increase activity. More thunderstorms will bring flash flooding potential to the Sierra, however drier conditions closer to the northern coastal mountains into Mendocino and Lake Counties could lead to fire danger issues should isolated thunderstorms develop. Red flag warnings are active in northwestern California north of Lake County for this possibility through Tuesday.
