What’s So Funny About Detroit? Turns out, plenty.

Public radio station WDET is hosting another fundraising event called “What’s So Funny About Detroit?” on Thursday at The Old Miami on Cass Avenue, featuring local comedians.

The lineup includes headliner Nicole Melnyk of Lansing, along with Alaina Bamfield, Madison Thomas, Andy Peters, Ree Ledbetter, Pat Sievert, Brooke Van Poppelen, and Joe Aasim.

The last “What’s So Funny About Detroit?” event, held on July 31, was considered a big success.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m., wrapping up by 9:30 p.m.

The Old Miami is a 21+ venue. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs.

Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Both cash and cards are accepted at the door.
