IOWA CITY — Ahead of Iowa football 's Aug. 30 season opener against UAlbany, coach Kirk Ferentz met with the media to discuss the latest inside his Hawkeyes program.

Iowa ’s captains against UAlbany will be Mark Gronowski, Logan Jones, Koen Entringer and Ethan Hurkett.

"As much as anything from my vantage point would be not doing too much or trying to do too much," Ferentz said. "I think during the course of this camp, we’ve seen him get more and more comfortable. Then he went through a little period there where he was maybe trying to do too much and force some things.
