Update: On Aug. 27, the weather has impacted balloon flights, and events for the day have been canceled.

The 34th annual Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic will take to the skies over Ann Morrison Park from Wednesday, Aug. 27, through Sunday, Aug. 31.

The event is free to attend, and each day offers a different experience — from tethered rides just for kids to the one-night-only spectacular night show.

Daily hot air balloon launches are weather permitting, and start around 7:15 a.m. and can last until 9 a.m.

“It’s a community event, a place where you can take your kids, grandma, aunt, mom, dad, cousins — it’s a place for community and that’s what brings people back year after year,” said Laurie
