PORTSMOUTH — Newport Cannabis Co., the state’s newest cannabis dispensary, will open its doors over Labor Day weekend with a three-day celebration at its new location, 1637 West Main Road.

The site was formerly occupied by Greenleaf Compassion Center, one of the three original medical dispensaries in Rhode Island but which was placed in receivership last year.

The festivities kick off Friday, Aug. 29, with food trucks, live music, and storewide promotions from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Specials and discounts will continue throughout the weekend, with what the company is calling “unique deals unavailable anywhere else.”

For those who cannot attend in person, the store will also feature Rhode Island’s only same-day statewide cannabis delivery service.
