A place for people to attend substance group meetings will remain open after raising enough money to fix its parking lot and sidewalk.

The Desert Club of Albuquerque — located at 4305 Mesa Grande NE — had until Monday to raise $18,000 to make the repairs to avoid cancellation of the club's property liability insurance.
