Residents in Greenwich Village can expect to see more greenery in the coming years.
The Village Alliance is launching its first streetscape initiative in more than 20 years. It's called Project Green, a five-year, $2 million fundraising campaign aimed at bringing more tree beds, shrub planters and pocket parks to the neighborhood.
The project also plans to support the local businesses in Greenwich Village.
Scott Hobbs, executive director of Village Alliance, joined "The Rush Hour" on Tuesday to talk about the new project.
