The County School Superintendent’s Office opened a new artificial intelligence center in the Historic 1904 Courthouse on Aug. 13, thanks to a donation from Rajeev Kapur, an AI businessman from California. Kapur visited Nogales to cut the ribbon on the center, named for him and his friend and former city councilman Cesar Parada.
The Kapur Parada Center of AI features four desktop computers equipped with the paid “Team” version of Chat-GPT, as well as a new printer and a larger screen for presenting. Kapur told the NI he wants to make sure rural areas like Nogales don’t get left behind given the pace of AI innovation. ×
