Dr. Grant Colfax is the new director of Contra Costa Health.

After resigning as San Francisco’s health director earlier this year, Dr. Grant Colfax has been hired for a similar position in Contra Costa County. Colfax, a gay man, started in the new job August 19.   The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors appointed Colfax to lead Contra Costa Health at its August 12 meeting.
