FREDERICK, Md. (DC News Now) -- Calling all cow-moo-nity members near Frederick! Soon, it will be your time to shine and make history, breaking records and setting standards.

The Frederick Flying Cows -- a local basketball organization -- is looking to add its name to the Guinness Book of World Records...

...for being the largest gathering of people dressed as cows, of course.

The current record was set more than a decade ago, when 1,352 people dressed up as cows at the Deja Moo Country Fair in Cowaramup, Australia.

On Oct. 26, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., CowFest will be hosted at the Great Frederick Fairgrounds, where participants are invited to try and break that record.
