NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KCAU) — Governors from all three Siouxland states gathered in North Sioux City, South Dakota, on Tuesday to discuss a variety of issues seen in each state.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen, and South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden took the stand in a room packed with community leaders.
One topic brought up during the annual Tri-State Governors' Conference was potential future problems with electricity.
With data centers, artificial intelligence, and even crypto-mining becoming more and more prevalent, these practices need lots of electricity to operate, which could affect residents as these industries grow.
