Starship S37 and Super Heavy B16 lifted off from the launch pad at Boca Chica/Starbase at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for Starship’s tenth suborbital test flight.
The launch was originally scheduled for Sunday but was scrubbed due to ground system issues. It was scrubbed again on Monday due to weather.
SpaceX had better luck Tuesday. The 33-engine Super Heavy booster rocket made a successful, controlled drop into the Gulf of Mexico nearly seven minutes minutes after launch following separation from the stage-two Starship three minutes after launch.
Starship continued with all six engines lit on a suborbital trajectory toward a planned controlled landing in the Indian Ocean near Australia.
