Fur will fly this weekend as nearly 75 human and dog teams compete in the Frisbee Dog World Championship, set to take place in the Chicago area Saturday and Sunday.

The Ashley Whippet Invitational competition will take place in Naperville's Nike Park, located at 288 West Diehl Road.

A new world champion frisbee dog and human team will be crowned after the two days of competition, taking place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Nearly 75 human and dog teams from all over the globe are expected to attend, according to Ashley Whippet. The teams will test their skills in two areas: toss and catch, and freestyle.

The event is free to watch, and food and beverages will be sold at the event, with proceeds benefitting animal rescue group One Tail At A Time.
