The watch party for Mobile Mayoral candidate Baraba Drummond grew lively already by 8 p.m., with just 73 percent of the vote counted. She was a clear lock for a runoff, leading by 2,000 votes over the nearest contender.

She maintained that lead for the extent of results trickling in over the two hours of returns. By 8:30 p.m., she mainted that lead with nearly 32percent of the vote.
