Maryland test scores improve, but 73% of students still lack math proficiency on exam

The Maryland State Department of Education, on Tuesday, released the 2025 state testing results for Math and English language arts known as MCAP, the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program. Statewide tests scores continue to rise for many students following the COVID shutdowns. But there are still significant concerns over how students are progressing.
