(WJET/WFXP)-- Marisa Rodriguez, the woman accused of killing a 66-year-old Erie man in 2023 after his remains were found in a burn pit, has pleaded guilty to several charges related to the investigation.
According to Erie County District Attorney Elizabeth Hirz, Rodriguez, 37, pleaded guilty to criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse in Erie County Court for the murder of 66-year-old Michael Maisner.
Rodriguez was charged on June 13, 2023, with criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse, among other charges, after evidence was found linking her to Maisner's death.
Police found Rodriguez hiding in the attic of the victim's home, and was named as the main suspect after police reported finding strange writing on the walls, pieces of body tissue, and human bone fragments in a burn pit at Maisn
