CARTER COUNTY, Mont. – Prosecutors in the Montana Attorney General's Office have charged a local man with three counts of sexual abuse of children.

Shy McCutchan, 31, was arrested in Alzada on Thursday. According to court documents, authorities discovered he had taken pictures of children from a public social media account. They allege he used AI to alter the images, creating content depicting child sexual abuse.

An arraignment for McCutchan is scheduled for September 9.
