RENO, Nev. — Ormat Technologies, Inc. has secured a 25-year extension to its existing power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA), ensuring the continued delivery of 52 megawatts of geothermal energy from its Heber 1 facility.

The long-term agreement, which takes effect in February 2026, will continue to supply clean, baseload geothermal power to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and the Imperial Irrigation District (IID). The electricity will come from the Ormat Heber 1 geothermal facility in Southern California's Imperial Valley.
