Hoppers and fireworks
The Grasshoppers were out of town on July Fourth but they’re making up for it on this long Labor Day weekend with not one, not two, but three fireworks shows. And the Hoppers know how to do fireworks. They play the Wilmington Blue Rocks daily through Sunday, with first pitch at 6:30 p.m. every day, and those fireworks shows are after the games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It’s the last homestand of the regular season. Tickets start at $12. The Dash, if you’re wondering, open a six-game home stand with the Greenville Drive on Tuesday, though the game on Friday, Sept. 5, is sold out for a private event. milb.com/greensboro and milb.com/winston-salem .
