LIHUE — The Lihue United Church of Christ 44th Labor Day Breakfast takes place on Monday from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Lihue Parish Hall.
Tickets at $12 for adults, 12 years and older, are available at the church’s office, or at the door on Monday. Proceeds from the breakfast — which includes eggs, sausage, assorted fruits and assorted pastries — serve as a fundraiser for the church’s missions.
Entertainment is almost certain to include the Tongan congregation.
The Labor Day Breakfast is one of the few events that is sanctioned by one of the island’s motorcycle clubs that rumbles into the church en force to support the church and its people.
