CHICAGO — A large police presence has been spotted on the city's South Side early Wednesday morning.

Several Chicago police officers were spotted in an area near the intersection of South Princeton Avenue and West 58th Street, in Englewood, around 5:30 a.m.

While it is currently unclear what brought officers to the area, several squad cars and uniformed officers could be spotted in the area working the scene.

Authorities have not yet confirmed any details about the apparent investigation.
