Michigan is set to open up its 2025 season in Saturday night by facing off against the Lobos of New Mexico at the Big House. Ahead of the game, New Mexico’s first-year head coach Jason Eck talked to the media for his weekly press conference to preview the game.

Here’s a brief rundown of everything Eck had to say: • On Tuesday, New Mexico released its two-deep depth chart ahead of the game — which happens to not be a real two-deep at all, but is laden with characters from Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio movies. Of the move, Eck said “We’re not releasing (a two-deep) too because Michigan doesn’t like to release a two-deep.” • Eck was impressed with what he saw from Michigan’s film from last year, particularly the defense. “Their front seven really impresses me.
