SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- One person is dead after a vehicle crash on Portsmouth Boulevard Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the eastbound lanes of Portsmouth Boulevard near Van Zandt Parkway remain closed as a result of the two-vehicle crash.

Traffic is currently being diverted to East Washington Street while crews work to clear the road.
