LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Nearly New Shop is closing its longtime Louisville thrift store in the Mid City Mall.
A news release from the National Council of Jewish Women, Louisville Section , on Tuesday said the resale shop will close Sept. 30, 2025.
The NCJW Louisville Section executive director Sarah Harlan told WDRB that the group decided to close for two reasons: the "challenges of the resale market" right now and the future plans for Mid City Mall. There are no plans to reopen elsewhere.
The store was on a month-to-month lease, so it is not being forced out. Decision to close was up to the local group, according to Harlan.
